Inventory Procurement Specialist
Responsibilities:
- Develop relationships and interact with vendors on purchasing opportunities
- Perform pricing research on inventory lists and prepare profitability Pro Forma analyses
- Develop and implement pricing strategies to optimize margins and inventory turnover.
- Manage purchasing budget to ensure that the business unit is sufficiently stocked on inventory within each category
- Collaborate with Merchant, Retail, Marketing and Finance leaders to develop and communicate a comprehensive strategy that aligns financial and product opportunities across the categories
- Interact with Sales Managers within the business units to identify optimal product mix
- Deliver a responsive approach to inventory risk and opportunity management through the open-to-buy process to maximize sales, turn product, and GMROI results
- Ensure that the financial strategy is consistent with the financial budget and profit parameters.
- Complete ad hoc recaps and financial analysis as needed
- Other duties as assigned by management
Skills and Requirements:
- At least 3 years of retail or product management experience is a plus
- Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Good communication skills
