Responsibilities: 

• Develop relationships and interact with vendors on purchasing opportunities
• Perform pricing research on inventory lists and prepare profitability Pro Forma analyses
• Develop and implement pricing strategies to optimize margins and inventory turnover.
• Manage purchasing budget to ensure that the business unit is sufficiently stocked on inventory within each category
• Collaborate with Merchant, Retail, Marketing and Finance leaders to develop and communicate a comprehensive strategy that aligns financial and product opportunities across the categories
• Interact with Sales Managers within the business units to identify optimal product mix
• Deliver a responsive approach to inventory risk and opportunity management through the open-to-buy process to maximize sales, turn product, and GMROI results
• Ensure that the financial strategy is consistent with the financial budget and profit parameters.
• Complete ad hoc recaps and financial analysis as needed
• Other duties as assigned by management

Skills and Requirements:

• At least 3 years of retail or product management experience is a plus
• Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Excel
• Good communication skills
